Dimna Lake is one of the biggest artificial lakes of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. It is located in the Mirzadih Panchayat of Patamda Block. The lake was constructed by Tata steel with an intension to provide water for the steel plant. Situated at the foothills of Dalma range, this man made lake is surrounded by one of the most splendid sights which attract not only the tourists but also those who have interest in Photography.

The blue water, serene atmosphere and mesmerizing scenic beauty are its main attractions. However, this picturesque site of Jamshedpur is also known for a number of water sports and boating clubs. This lake has a beautiful water reservoir which is often used for some water sports. Also, it provides great opportunity for boating, jet skiing and rowing in particular seasons which entertain the tourists of the area. Surrounded with greenery and lush green forests, it provides great opportunity for picnic under the cool shades. The place is further surrounded by some prominent gardens with most colourful flowers which add to the scenic beauty of the area.
Dimna Lake is half an hour drive away from the main city and one can easily hire a cab or bus to reach the spot. The ideal time to explore the beauty of this place is in winters between November and February.
