IIFA Awards or International Indian Film Academy Awards is a prestigious award ceremony organized by the International Indian Film Academy in which awards are presented to the film personalities of the Hindi film industry for honouring their artistic and technical eminence. The event was introduced in the year 2000 and since then it is held every year at different places of the world. IIFA Awards has, over the years, played a crucial role in promoting the Indian cinema at the international arena. During this three day event, awards are given to the film professionals under varied categories as recognition to their contributions in diverse cinematic arenas.
20th IIFA Awards
20th IIFA Awards was held on 18 September 2019. For the first time in the Awards' history, it was held in India, Mumbai. The show was hosted by Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana. The nominees were announced on 28 August 2019. This IIFA Award for Best Female Playback was given to Harshdeep Kaur and Vibha Saraf for the song ‘Dilbaro’ from the movie ‘Raazi’.
