The river slices the village in two. Lachung village is known for snow capped mountain peaks, waterfalls, streams and apple orchards.

Another nearby attraction of this river is the Lachung Gompa. Built around 1880, the Gompa is nestled amidst apple orchards across the river. Tourists can also visit the handicraft centre which houses elegantly woven rugs and blankets.
