Vijayraghavgarh Fort is a popular tourist destination in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Vijayraghavgarh Fort, Madhya PradeshVijayraghavgarh Fort is located in Vijayraghavgarh town of Katni district in Madhya Pradesh. The fort is of historical significance and was built in the year 1826. The Vijayraghavgarh Fort was built by the son of Maihar King Bisan Singh, whose name was Thakur Prayagdas. The fort was dedicated to Lord Vijayraghav.

History of Vijayraghavgarh Fort
The entire fort is made up of sandstone and is bordered with safety deep trench similar to the Red Fort in Delhi. The Fort, when it had been attacked by the British, became a victim of famous revolt of 1857, which was a turning point in the Indian Freedom Struggle. During the revolt there were some parts of the fort that got damaged.
