The shrines for Lord Sri Sudarshana are considered significant and consecrated in Tamil Nadu.

Sudarsana Shrines , Tamil NaduTamil Nadu is a city of temples. A number of shrines are erected throughout the city. Many of them are larger Vishnu temple and some are smaller which are found throughout Tamil Nadu. Also there are separate sanctums dedicated to Sri Sudarsana (Chakrattazhvar). Sri Sudarshana is one of the famous deities worshipped here> He is venerated as the personification of the powerful discus chakra of Lord Narayana. Some of these shrines, on account of their antiquity, historicity and religious significance are renowned in comparison to the other big shrines. Among all the shrines dedicated to Lord Sri Sudarshana, mention may be made of three famous Sudarsana shrines houses in three ancient Divya Desams, the first in Chola Nadu, the second in Tondai Nadu and the third in Pandya Nadu. In present days these three Sudarshana temples have come into limelight.

Sri Ranganatha Svami Temple, Srirangam, Tamil Nadu, South India: -Sri Ranganatha Svami temple in Srirangam of Tamil Nadu is famous for it houses the imposing image of Lord Sri Sudarshana. The excellent architecture of the image and the main sanctum is considered to be the chief attraction about the temple.

Sri Varadaraja Svami Temple, Kanchipuram: - The Chakrattazhvar (Lord Sri Sudarshana) shrine in the Varadaraja Svami temple in Kanchipuram (Vishnu Kanchi) is erected on the eastern side of the Anantasaras tank. The temple houses two different images of the same Lord and the temple architecture represents the Vijayanagara style.

Sri Kalamegha Perumal Temple, Tirumoghur: - Sri Kalamegha Perumal temple is considered as one of the 108 Divya Desams, which has been eulogized in the hymns of the Azhvars. The captivating image of the Lord, holding sixteen different weapons in sixteen different hands is the chief feature of the temple.
