Sutikshana Ashram
Sutikshana Ashram is the hermitage of Rishi Sutikshana. The Ashram is situated near the celebrated Ramagiri, or Rama`s hill.
Location of Sutikshana Ashram
Sutikshna ashram is located in Bundelkhand which is a geographic region of central India. However, the region is now divided between the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Sutikshna ashram is situated about 4 Km to the north of Sarbhang Ashram near Chitrakoot.
Mythology of Sutikshana Ashram
It is believed that when Shri Rama along with his wife Sita and Laxman was residing in forests, they came to visit the hermitage of Rishi Sutikshana. The reason behind Lord Rama"s visit was to appear before Maharishi Sutikshna to fulfil his desire for his darshan.
