Screen Awards for Best Supporting Actress are presented to the actresses of Bollywood for showcasing spectacular acting skills in supporting roles. In 2014 the award was won by Swara Bhaskar for the movie Raanjhanaa.

Screen Awards for Best Supporting ActressScreen Awards is an esteemed award ceremony of India dedicated to Hindi film industry. The awards are presented by the film fraternity to the film personalities of Bollywood to honour their professional excellence in different arenas. A panel of jury members select the nominations and winners for the event under different categories. The year 1994 marks the inception of this annual award ceremony. It is credited as the only award ceremony of the country which has been attended by the Executive Director and the Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

20th Screen Awards
20th Screen Awards was held on 14th January 2014 and was aired on 25th January 2014 on Life Ok channel. It commemorated the best films of the year 2013. The grand event was hosted by Shahrukh Khan. Screen Awards for Best Supporting Actress in its 20th edition encountered a tough competition among some of the proficient actresses of industry, who brilliant essayed supporting roles in the films. These nominations included Divya Dutt for Gippi, Konkona Sen Sharma for Ek Thi Daayan, Kalki Koechlin for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Richa Chadda for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram for Leela and Swara Bhaskar for Raanjhanaa. The award was won by Swara Bhaskar for portraying the role of Bindiya in Raanjhanaa.

Swara Bhaskar
Swara Bhaskar is a Bollywood actress who earned recognition after playing the role of Payal in the 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu. She is a former theatre actress. Her performances in the films have received critical appreciations. Her acting in the movie Raanjhanaa was highly praised by the critics and apart form Screen Awards received nominations in many other prestigious award ceremonies.
