Sri Vatera Teerth located in Rajasthan is a Jain pilgrimage centre. The teerth kshetra is situated in the Vatera village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shantinath, Sixteenth Jain Tirthankara.
History of Sri Vatera Teerth
According to history Sri Vatera Teerth dates back to the ancient period. As per reference the teerth kshetra is believed to belong to a period earlier than the twelfth century. An inscription has been found on the seat of the Lord that dates to the year 1171 of the Vikram Samvat Era. According to the inscription the main idol of the temple was Lord Mahavira. However, during a renovation of the temple the idol of Lord Shantinath was installed here. Since its construction the temple has been repaired and renovated several times. The last renovation of the temple was accomplished in the year 2022 of the Vikram Samvat Era. The idol was installed at the auspicious hands of Vijayjinendrasurisvarji. The idol of Lord Shantinath is believed to possess miraculous powers. Thousands of Jains and non Jains from far off places visit the temple to offer their prayers. It is believed that if prayed with all devotion the Lord fulfils the wishes of the pilgrims.

The temple of Sri Vatera Teerth houses the idol of Lord Shantinath. The temple located in a small compound has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs.
