Shilarna Vaze, Indian ChefShilarna Vaze is an Indian Chef, traveller, blogger and eco-food connoisseur who brings the sunshine into the kitchen with her chirpy attitude and fresh recipes. She is popularly known as "Chef Chinu".

Early Life of Shilarna Vaze
Shilarna Vaze was born and raised in Mumbai. Armed with a degree in Political Science, Chef Chinu has worked as a columnist for Mumbai Times, Vogue magazine and Outlook Traveler Elle magazine etc. She is quite a popular face on Indian television. Worked with television production, acting and a lucrative modelling career, Shilarna Vaze eventually decided to return to her real love, the culinary arts.

Following internships at popular restaurants in Mumbai, Shilarna decided to move to Paris, the gastronomic capital of the world, and enroll in the prestigious "Diplome de Cuisine" course at Le Cordon Bleu.

Career of Shilarna Vaze
Shilarna Vaze then returned to India and settled in Goa, working for some of its finest kitchens as A Reverie and Sublime and interned at other bigwigs like Indigo deli and rain. She has been working in restaurants in Mumbai and Goa ever since.

Later, she and her husband Christophe opened their restaurant “Gaia” at Ashwem Beach in Goa. They are currently running a sushi delivery business called “Ninja Sushi” in Mumbai as well as a gourmet catering service called “Gaia Home Chef” which is now “Gaia Gourmet”. “Ninja Sushi” further boosted her reputation as one of India"s most adored chefs. “Gaia Home Chef” caters for consulates, Bollywood celebrities, international brands and corporate.

Media Appearance of Shilarna Vaze
Shilarna Vaze has hosted her own cooking show, “Firangi Tadka” aired on FoodFood, Sanjeev Kapoor"s new food channel. She presently hosts "Sunny Side Up" on FoodFood where she prepares fusion brunch recipes. She has even had a lucrative stint on the children"s Pogo channel and has also been featured twice in Vogue. She has written an editorial for Vogue Living entitled “Green Fingers” and regularly blogs on organic living. Shilarna Vaze is also an actress known for a small role in the movie "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum" in 2002 starring Esha Deol, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.

Personal Life of Shilarna Vaze
Shilarna Vaze is married to Christophe Perrin who also happens to be a chef. The couple welcomed their baby girl on 2017.
