He made his cinematic debut in 2002 with the Bollywood movie "Ek Chhotisi Love Story". Since then, he has appeared in a number of commercially successful movies. He has also been a part of some critically acclaimed movies which helped him to earn substantial appreciations as an actor.

Early Life of Ranvir Shorey
Ranvir Shorey was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 18th August 1972. He completed his schooling from Dayanand Model Sr. Sec School, Jalandhar.

Career of Ranvir Shorey
VJ turned actor Ranvir Shorey initially appeared in the television show `The Great Indian Comedy Show` through which he gained huge popularity. Ranvir Shorey, Bollywood ActorAfterwards he also appeared in a television talk show `Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun?` along with his friend and co-actor Vinay Pathak which was aired on Star One.His first venture in Bollywood was the film Ek Chhotisi Love Story in 2002 in which he was featured alongside Manisha Koirala. The movie was however a failure at box office. In the following year, 2003, he starred in the movie Jism portraying a small role. Ranvir Shorey marked his presence in Bollywood through a comedy flick Khosla Ka Ghosla in 2006. Both the movie and his acting got critical appreciations. He next appeared in another comedy movie Pyaar Ke Side Effects in which he appeared along with Rahul Bose. In 2007, he was seen in the multi starrer movie Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. The movie was moderately successful at the box office. In 2007, Ranvir Shorey worked with Yash Raj Films, in the movie Aaja Nachle. His next release was Mithya in February 2008 in which he portrayed the lead role and received critical acclamations. His other movies include Ugly Aur Pagli, Singh Is Kinng, Dasvidaniya, Fashion, Ek Tha Tiger, Chandni Chowk to China, Mixed Doubles, Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota and many more.

Personal Life of Ranvir Shorey
On 3rd September 2010, Ranvir Shorey married the famed actress Konkona Sen and the couple have a son.
