Rana Ram Singh
Rana Ram Singh was a Jat ruler of the princely state of Dholpur in Rajasthan. He took various efforts to improve the administration of the state.

Rana Ram Singh, also known as Ram Singh KCIE of Dholpur, was the Jat ruler of the princely state of Dholpur, Rajasthan. He was born on 26th May 1883 and hailed from Bamraulia gotra of Jats. Rana Ram Singh succeeded Rana Nihal Singh in the year 1901, when he died. At the time when he ascended the royal throne, he was a minor. Later in March 1905, when he reached the age of majority, Ram Singh of Dholpur received full rights of command. The princely state of Dholpur was a territory of eastern Rajputana that was founded by the Bamraulia clan Jat Rana rulers in 1806 AD. Dholpur was located in the current Indian state of Rajasthan. The state was divided in 6 paraganas under the rule of Rana Ram Singh. The paraganas were Dholpur, Rajakhedi, Badi, Basaidi and Kulari. He took various efforts to improve the administration of the state and for the betterment of people and advancement of society.

He was completed his education from Mayo College in Ajmer and was later appointed to the Imperial Cadet Corps. Rana Ram Singh of Dholpur was married with Ripudman Kaur, who was the daughter of the Sir Hira Singh, the Maharaja of Nabha. Singh died on 2nd April 1911 and was succeeded by Rana Udaybhanu Singh.

Honours of Rana Ram Singh
Rana Ram Singh was honoured with the Delhi Durbar Gold Medal in the year 1903 and the Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) in the year 1909.
