Rajaram
Rajaram, the great Maratha warrior defended their assets aganist the Mughalstill his demise.
The Mughals were badly repelled by the outrageous antagonism cast by Rajaram`s valiant widow, Tarabai who guided the nation on behalf of her minor son, Shivaji. She first organized the administrative stability of her kingdom. And consequently focused her concentration on the loathsome foe, the Mughals. She instructed her army to incur damage to the six Mughal "Subhas" or provinces including that of Malwa (1699), in the Deccan .In 1703, they stormed into the Mughal province of Berar. In 1706 , Gujarat was attacked and the emperor`s base at Ahmadnagar was menanced. Series of conquests had increased the opulence of the Marathas which cemented their newly acquired mastery over the Deccan and a few portions of Central India. The Maratha Confederacy emerged triumphant in giving the fatal -blow to the already shattered Mughal authority.
