Gorakhpur Light Horse regiment was a British Indian cavalry unit under the Volunteer Corps of the British Army in India. It was formed on 20th May 1887.

The Gorakhpur Light Horse regiment was a former British Indian cavalry unit under the Volunteer Corps of the British Indian Army. The auxiliary regiment was a part of the Bengal Army as well as the Bengal Command. The Bengal Army was the armed force of Bengal Presidency and one the Presidency Armies in British India.

The Gorakhpur Light Horse was formed on 20th May 1887. It was headquartered in Gorakhpur. The uniform of the officers included blue formal attire while the troops wore Khaki drill. The regiment was merged with four other British Indian regiments to raise the United Provinces Light Horse in 1904.
