Gandpa Gompa is situated in Leh district of J&K. It is about 11km from Thangra. The gompa is perched on a top of a rock, looking out over the snow-capped mountains across the valley. This substantially built monastery houses great images of Lord Buddha. Gandpa Gompa can be neared from Mahe, Nyoma and Nyagzu.
