Ehretia Laevis Roxb is an Indian medicinal plant. It is a deciduous shrub. It is considered as small tree due to its 12 m height. Ehretia Laevis Roxb is common in deciduous and monsoonal forests to an elevation of about 1000 m throughout most of peninsular regions and in the Andaman Islands of India.

Characteristic Features of Ehretia Laevis Roxb
This medicinal plant has an irregular trunk with a light grey or whitish bark. Leaves are variable in size and shape. They vary from 2 cm to 6.3 cm in length and 1.3 cm to 3.8 cm in width. Flowers of these plants are white in colour. The calyx of these flowers are 2.5 mm long, 3-lobed and the corolla are 6-8 mm long, in which 5 corolla are lobed. The tube and lobes of corolla are longer than the calyx. Fruits of Ehretia laevis Roxb are also known as drupe. They are depressed and globose, generally 6 mm in diameter. They become orange-red on maturing.

The tender leaves of this medicinal plant are made into a paste, which is used externally to cure eczema, and the dried powdered flowers taken with milk are used as an aphrodisiac.
