Brahmanas of Krishna Yajur Veda reveal various religious rites that are to be performed by the specific priests. Taittirya Brahmana consists of 3 kandas, which are divided into 8, and 12 adhyayas. At times they are also divided into eight ashtakas in the Rigvedic manner. These are further divided into sections that contain sentences on a particular subject. These Brahmanas contain altogether 17480 sentences.
Its first kanda deals with the Agnyadhana, Gavamayana, Vajapeya, Soma, Nakshatreshti and Rajasuya. Thereafter the 2nd kanda deals with Agnihotra, Upahomas, Sautramani, Vaisysava and so on. Final kanda gives additional details on the Nakshatreshti, the Ashvamedha and parables like that of Bharadvaja along with the Purushamedha Yajna.
Vadhula Brahmana is also known as the Anvakhyana Brahmana. It is a minor Brahmana that is embedded in the Vadhula Shrautasutra.
