Berar Volunteer Rifle Corps was an infantry battalion of the Volunteer Corps under the British Indian Army. It was formed on 21st February 1879 under the British Resident of Hyderabad.

The Berar Volunteer Rifle Corps was an infantry battalion of the Volunteer Corps that functioned under the British Indian Army. The regiment was raised under the Resident of British India for the Princely State of Hyderabad. It was formed on 21st February 1879 as the Berar Volunteer Rifle Corps. It was included as a part of the erstwhile Presidency Armies in British India, which included the 3 main British armed forces, namely the Bombay Army of Bombay Presidency; the Madras Army of Madras Presidency; and the Bengal Army of Bengal Presidency.

The headquarters of the Berar Volunteer Rifle Corps was set up in Amraoti (Amravati) in Maharashtra. In 1901, the uniform of the infantry unit included khaki drill. The unit stationed several detachments at various posts in Basim, Sheogaon, Khamgaum, Buldana, Budneira, Ellichpur, Wun and Akola.

Later on 1st October 1904 the Berar Volunteer Rifle Corps was later merged with the Nagpur Volunteer Rifles.
