Lakkundi is a village located in the Gadag District of Karnataka, which is popular for stepped wells, Chalukya style temples and historic inscriptions. There are several ancient wells in here but Chateer Bavi, Kanne Bavi and Musukina Bavi are the most popular ones for the carvings and architectural beauty. Apart from these, Manikesvara Temple stepped well is another popular tourist attraction. The well next to the temple was built during the Chalukya period.
