Gambhirgad Fort is located 58 km away from Dahanu town in Palghar District of Maharashtra. The fort is now in ruins, which need restorations. The fort was a part of the Jawhar State. When Jayabha Mukne became sole master of Jawhar, he then gave the Gambhirgad Fort to a Warli chief. Later, it was owned by Jawhar State government. There are water cisterns, bastion and small temple inside the fort campus.

Gambhirgad Fort can be reached via Kasa, which is 26 km away from Dahanu. Dahanu Road Railway Station and Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport are the nearest to reach the fort. National Highway 53 connects Dahanu to other parts of India.
