History of Sardar Baugh Palace Sardar Baug Palace was built in the year 1867 and was positioned right in the middle of the Sardar Baug Park. It owned by the Maharaos who used to govern Kutch. Maharao Madansinghiji Jadeja, the last ruler of the Maharao. After Indian independence of 1947, Kutch became a part of ‘Saurashtra’ after Madansinghji signed the succession treaty. Collectibles and antiques including paintings, statuettes, handicrafts, swords, spears, and hunting trophies have been exhibited in this palace, which turned it into a museum now.
