74th Indian Infantry Brigade

The 74th Indian Infantry Brigade was a former armed infantry formation that operated under the British Indian Army during the Second World War. The brigade remained in active service from 1942 to 1945. It was raised under the British Empire in India in July 1942. The armed force was initially allotted to the 25th Indian Infantry Division.

It took part in a number of British battles and campaigns and also fought in the Burma Champaign. The troops functioned under the command of the 25th Infantry Division till the culmination of World War II. Brigadier J. C. W. Cargill and Brigadier J. E. Hirst were the most reputed commanders of the 74th Indian Infantry Brigade.

* 6th Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (August 1942 to June 1945)
* 9th Royal Sussex Regiment (July 1945 to August 1945)
