Chata Kalikapur is a census town under the Maheshtala police station in the Alipore subdivision in South 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal

Chata Kalikapur has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 63% and female literacy of 52%. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
