Bowali is a census town situated in the South 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal in the eastern part of India.
The exact geographical location of this town is at 22°25'12" N and 88°12'0" E. The statistical figures of the 2001 India census record a population of 10,200 in the town. Males, females and children less than 6 years of age respectively comprise 53%, 47% and 9% of the population. The mean literacy rate of 76% is considerably greater than the nationwide standard of 59.5%. The male literacy is 83% while 69% of the females are literate.
