22nd Indian Infantry Brigade

22nd Indian Infantry Brigade served as a part of the British Indian Army during the outbreak of the Second World War. It remained in service from 1940 till 1942.

The 22nd Indian Infantry Brigade was one of the former infantry forces of the British Indian Army. The brigade was formed in September 1940 by the British Empire in India during the Second World War. The military formation remained in active service for a brief period from the year 1940 to 1942.

The 22nd Indian Infantry Brigade was raised from the assets of the 8th Indian Infantry Brigade. It was initially attached to the 9th Indian Infantry Division. The troops of the infantry formation were station in Malaya and later took part in the Malayan Campaign. Eventually the 22nd Indian Infantry Brigade surrendered on 1 February 1942 to the Japanese forces.

• 2/12th Frontier Force Regiment (December 1940 - June 1941; December 1941 - February 1942)
• 2/18th Royal Garhwal Rifles (June 1941 - February 1942)
• 1/13th Frontier Force Rifles (October 1940 - May 1941)
• 5/11th Sikh Regiment (March 1941 - February 1941)
• 5th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery (December 1941 - January 1942)
