The headquarters of the Assam Bengal Railway Battalion was located in Chittagong. The uniform of the troops was Khaki serge with dark green facings with silver lace. Later the uniform was modified in the year 1940 and included a Khaki formal dress with green facings and a military badge with a Royal Bengal Tiger.
