An inscription has been found on a huge stone in the temple that provides information about the installation ceremony of the temple and the idol. According to the inscription the temple was installed on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Phalgun in the years 1669 of the Vikram Samvat Era. This teerth belongs to the small group of five teerths of Kutch Bhuj. It is believed by the pilgrims visiting the temple from far off places that the idol of Bhagwan Rishabh Dev possesses miraculous powers.
