51st Indian Infantry Brigade
51st Indian Infantry Brigade was raised in December 1941 as a part of the British Indian Army. It was formed by the British Empire for service in World War II.

The 51st Indian Infantry Brigade was formed by the British Empire in India as an infantry formation. It was raised in December 1941 under the administrative authority of the British Indian Army for service in the Second World War. The former brigade remained in active service till 1945. In April 1942, it was attached to the 20th Indian Infantry Division. Afterwards it was re-assigned to the 25th Indian Infantry Division in August 1942 and remained under it administration until the culmination of World War II.

The troops participated in a number of battles and military conquests of the British Government of India.

Formation of 51st Indian Infantry Brigade
The 51st Indian Infantry Brigade included several infantry regiments of the British Indian army. These are named below-
* 17/5th Mahratta Light Infantry (December 1941 - March 1944)
* 8/19th Hyderabad Regiment (December 1941 - July 1942; March 1944 - August 1945)
* 8th York and Lancaster Regiment (August 1942 - October 1944)
* 16/10th Baluch Regiment (May 1942 - August 1945)
* 2/2nd Punjab Regiment (September 1944 - March 1945)
