Shivani Maa Temple, Kanker, ChhattisgarhShivani Maa Temple is an extremely revered shrine situated in Kanker city, Chhattisgarh. The presiding deity is unusually a combination of two goddess- Goddess Kali and Goddess Durga. It is said that if one considers the idol in a vertical manner, one half is Goddess Kali, the remaining half being that of Goddess Durga. Such architectural grandeur of an idol is only present in two places in the world- one here in Kanker, Chhattisgarh and the other is in Kolkata. The Navratri festival is celebrated here in the temple complex, with much pomp and splendour, attended by followers from far and near. The Dhamtari Railway Station is nearest railhead (50km).
