Vizag, elaborately known as Visakhapattanamu, is a coastal city in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Being a tourist place, Vizag is mainly attracted for its beauty. It is the fourth largest state in the country. In addition to this, Vizag also houses a Medical College for the students of Andhra Pradesh and its allied areas.
Established in 1923, the Anatomy department of the Andhra Medical College attracts tourist to view the specimens of human anatomy, fetal skeletons, two skeletons made of ivory and wood in 18th century by King Sarfozi of Tanjore.
The museum remains closed on public holidays and the time for viewing the human anatomy is 8:00a.m to 2:00p.m in summer and 9a.m to 4p.m in winter.
