Garalgachha is a census town in Hooghly district of the eastern state of India, West Bengal. It comes under the Serampore subdivision. According to the 2001 India census report, Garalgachha has a small population of 4499 inhabitants. Males constitute 52% of the population and females constitute 48% of the population. In Garalgachha, 7%of the population is less than six years of age. Garalgachha has an average literacy rate of 86%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 89% and the female literacy rate is 82%.
