Tomb of Khan

Tomb of Khan located in Rajasthan was built after the death of Karimal Mulk Auhdi. The tomb is located in the Abu Qandhar graveyard of Bayana.

Tomb of Khan, RajasthanTomb of Khan located in Rajasthan is one of the oldest Islamic monuments built during the Muslim period. The tomb is situated in the north east of Sultankot on the right side of Bayana Bharatpur road. It is in the graveyard of Bayana known as Abu Qandhar graveyard. It is locally known as Mirana.

An inscription has been inscribed in Persian language on the circular neck of the dome. According to it the tomb was constructed after the death of Karimal Mulk Auhdi who assumed the title of Auhad Khan. He was the son of Shams Khan Auhdi, the son of first independent ruler of Auhdi Dynasty of Bayana. He died in 1421 AD.

Architecture of the Tomb of Khan
Tomb of Khan was built on a raised platform. It is a quadruple tomb and its architectural designs resemble that of the Tughlaq Dynasty. The tomb structure is surmounted by a dome.
