Tirupaalaittura itemple is located is 19th in the series of Tevara Stalams located south of the river Kaveri. Shiva vanquished a tiger sent by the rishis of Dharukavanam here. Vasishtar, Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Arjuna are said to have worshipped here.
Temple: The Tiruppaalaitturai temple has two prakarams. It occupies an area of three acres, and the entrance has a five-tiered Rajagopuram. Inscriptions from the Chola and Vijayanagar periods are seen in this temple. Shiva is also known as Paalaivananathar here. Arudra Darisanam is celebrated at the Tirupaalaitturai temple.
