Thakurdwara of Sunhani was constructed by the Chandel kings. It houses the temple dedicated to Nar Singh Devta. Sunhani is a place of historical importance, situated on the Bhager-Barthin-Ghumarwin Road in Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh. It was the capital of Kehloor during the reign of Raja Vikram Chand (1555-1593 A.D.) and had remained the seat of government for more than 100 years. The entrance to the Thakurdwara is ornamented with Gupta period architecture and drawing. `Jharokhas` are visible on the backside of the temple, where images of Gods and goddesses are engraved. Even today the temple is highly honoured by the masses. Newly harvested crops and buffalo`s milk is given as offerings to the deity. It is also regarded mandatory for newly married couples to observe `pradakshinas` around the ficus tree, situated in the compound of Thakurdwara of Sunhani. Sheetla Mata temple is also located in the vicinity.
