The town of Bhilai, located in Durg district, is home to the Bhilai Steel Plant. The district is home to two significant religious sites. Durg city is part of the Bhilai agglomeration. It lies about 11 km from Bhilai and 35 km from Raipur. Durg is also the 2nd largest district of Chhattisgarh. The rivers Sheonath and Kharun contribute the most in the drainage system of the area.
