S.P. Sailaja, Indian Playback Singer S. P. Sailaja, also known as Sripathi Panditaradhyula Sailaja is an Indian playback singer who predominantly works in Telugu film industry. She is the sister of famous singer S. P. Balasubramanyam. She is also an actor, dubbing artist and classical dancer. She has sung nearly 5000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. She has received many state awards.

Early Life of S.P. Sailaja
S.P. Sailaja was born on 9th October 1962 to a conservative Shaivite family in Konetammapeta in the Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh. She was born to such a household, that was enriched with the musical environment as her father S.P. Sambamurthy was a well-known proponent of Harikatha and her brother S.P. Balasubramanyam is a fertile singer in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.

As a playback singer, S.P. Sailaja has nearly 5000 songs in her career. Apart from playback singing she has also lent her voice for various artists like Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Sridevi etc. "Vasantha Kokila", "Ninne Pelladatha", "Aavida Maa Aavide", "Murari" are the films where she has worked as dubbing artist. Sailaja has also acted in a Telugu film directed by K. Viswanath namely "Sagara Sangamam" in 1983. In the film she played the role of a classical dancer which was quite a cakewalk for her as she is a trained classical dancer in real life. The role was appreciated commercially and critically.
