Situated at an elevation of 112 meters, this fort is located near the Tapi River and Ukai Dam. Songadh Fort exhibits both Mughal and Maratha styles of architecture in it. Now, Songadh Fort serves as a popular spot for tourist attraction.

History of Songadh Fort
Songadh Fort was built by Pillaji Rao Gaekwad between 1729 and 1766. The fort was strategically built on the top of a hill to keep an eye on the enemies.

The best time to visit Songadh Fort is after the monsoon season. Surat Airport and Ukai Songadh Railway Station are the nearest to reach Songadh. National Highway 53 connects this city to other major cities of India.
