Sirkeer Malkoha or Sirkeer Cuckoo is mainly earthy brown and rufous in colour and the long heavy tail is edged with prominently white tipped graduated cross-rayed tail feathers. An obvious relation of the coucal (crow pheasant). The bill of Sirkeer Malkoha or Sirkeer Cuckoo is hooked, bright cherry-red and yellow. The sexes of Sirkeer Malkoha or Sirkeer Cuckoo are similar, but juveniles are duller and barred above.

Habitat of Sirkeer Malkoha
The habitat of Sirkeer Malkoha or Sirkeer Cuckoo is largely terrestrial, open scrub and thorn jungle, deciduous secondary jungle. They stay in singly or in pairs.

Behaviour of Sirkeer Malkoha
The stalks of Sirkeer Malkoha are amongst thickets like crow-pheasant, searching for food. They feed on the insects, lizards, fallen fruits and berries. Sirkeer Malkoha or Sirkeer Cuckoo runs swiftly through undergrowth looking like mongoose.
