Siddhidayak Raivatgiri
Siddhidayak Raivatgiri is a legendry character who indulged in many evil deeds and was even punished for it. Later by worshipping Sri Raivatgiri he got liberated of his sins.
However his past life`s good deeds helped him to overcome his pains. One day he met a sage Jainmuni with whom he shared his pains and grieves. He asked for forgiveness and death. The sage reminded him of his awful deeds and told him it was for his bad deeds that he has to suffer so much pain. The sage also warned him that if he wished to get rid of his pain and wish to avoid getting such punishments even in his next birth then he must embrace Jainism and surrender himself at the feet of the Lord. The sage explained him the glory of Sri Raivatgiri. The sanyasi asked the man to pray to Sri Raivatgiri to forgive him of his sins. Thus the kshatriya marched towards the temple of the Lord to pray and apologize for his past sins. He also visited Lord Neminath temple and took a dip in the holy water of Ujjaiyanti. Finally he received the blessings of the Lord and got rid of his ailments. He went into Samadhi and thus left his body. Later Bharat Chakravarty constructed the temple. Chakravarti Bharat constructed temples on Ashtapad (Kailash Parvat) being salvation place of Bhagwan Adinath Rishabhdev. Chakravarti Bharat went there for so many times for pilgrimage.
