Shri Vijaymangalam Teerth located at Tamil Nadu is a Jain pilgrimage centre. The teerth Kshetra is located in the vicinity of Vijaymangalam village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Chandraprabha, Eighth Jain Tirthankara.

The history of Shri Vijaymangalam Teerth dates back to the ancient times. The teerth kshetra had great importance in the sixth century and was known as Virsanghatperupalli. Vijaymangalam earlier served as the capital of Kongunadu. This temple is under the control of Government. The temple of Lord Chandraprabha was constructed by King Konguvelire. The temple is popularly known as Amneshavar temple by the local people. The ancient and famous Tamil book Perukadai was written here. The temple is visited by thousands of devotees from different places. It is said that by worshipping the Lord with full devotion one can get all their wishes fulfilled.

The temple of Shri Vijaymangalam Teerth houses the idol of Lord Chandraprabha. The temple has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. The creative temple work boast about the skills of the craftsmen. The idol of the lord is 30 cm in height and is black in colour. It is seated in a padmasana posture.

The Dhavajastamb of the temple can be seen from a far off place. The highest peak of this temple adds to the charm and look of the temple. It reminds one of its glorious stories. The temple is adorned with beautifully carved pillars. The panchakalyanaka festivals of Lord Chandraprabha and the idols of the twenty-four Jain Tirthankaras have been are engraved in the ceiling. Apart from the main idol there are many other idols installed in the temple. The artistic and ancient idols of Lord Adishvar and of Shri Bhagavati Ambika Devi are especially delightful and worth seeing.
