History of Shri Nana Posina Teerth
The historical records of Shri Nana Posina Teerth state that it was a very ancient teerth. The teerth is associated with many legends and miracles. According to a legend a farmer found the idol of the lord under a Kanther tree almost 1200 years ago. He then handed over the idol to the Jain Sangha. The Sangha then constructed a beautiful temple and installed the idol in it. Since its construction the temple has been repaired and renovated several times. The main idol along with many other idols were ceremoniously installed in the temple on the sixth day of the dark half of the month of Posh in the year 2008 of the Vikram Samvat Era under the auspicious hands of His Holiness Acharyadevshri Labdhisurishvarji Maharaj Saheb. The idol of Lord Parshvanatha is believed to possess miraculous powers and is visited by thousands of Jains and non Jains from far off places. They come here to offer their prayers to the Lord and receive his blessings. It is believed that if prayed with all devotion the Lord fulfils the wishes of the pilgrims.
