Shri Lodrava Teerth, RajasthanShri Lodrava Teerth located in Rajasthan is a Jain pilgrimage centre. The Lodrava town is situated at a distance of 15 kms from Jaisalmer and 5 kms from Amarasagar. The temple is dedicated to Lord Parshvanatha.

History of Shri Lodrava Teerth
According to history Shri Lodrava Teerth dates back to the ancient times and it is an important teertha amongst the five teerths of Jaisalmer. The town of Lodrava is now almost in ruins but earlier there was a time when the town was full of prosperity and riches. It was then under the patronage of the Rajputs. An age old university was also built here. Lodrava Teerth has been an important pilgrimage centre. In the ancient days it was visited by many famous Jain Acharyas. One day a group of saints travelling from Lodrava to Multan imparted religious sermons to the prince of the state. Hearing them the prince embraced the Jain religion and then planned and constructed this teerth kshetra. The teerth as well as the presiding deity of the temple, Lord Parshvanatha is believed to have miraculous powers. During times of calamity and misfortune it has shown great prowess. As per reference this teertha has been attacked several times by invaders. They tried all attempts to destroy the place but by the grace of the Lord it remained unharmed. The teerth kshetra has been renovated and repaired by Sheth Thirushah. He ceremoniously installed the temple and the deity at the auspicious hands of Acharya Shri Jinarajasuriji.

Even today the deity is believed to possess great powers. The temple is visited by thousands of devotees from different places. It is believed that by worshipping the Lord with full devotion one can get all their wishes fulfilled.

Temple of Shri Lodrava Teerth
The temple of Shri Lodrava Teerth houses the deity of Shri Sahasrafana Chintamani Parshvanatha Bhagavan. The temple has been magnificently decorated with intricate artistic designs. It stands as a unique example of ancient architectural beauty. The idol is black in colour and is about 100 cm in height. It is seated in a padmasana posture. The idol has been beautifully carved out of stone and depicts the Rajasthani art. All the models look very attractive and depict the ancient sculptural art and the skills of the sculptors. The entrance of the temple is adorned by arches gates. The ceiling and the pillars of the shrine have been elaborately carved that add a further charm to the temple.

The Temple of Shri Lodrava Teerth organises many annual gatherings and functions. There are provisions for dharamshalas or rest houses for the pilgrims. These are well equipped with all modern facilities. The temple is surrounded by scenic beauty that attracts and mesmerises the pilgrims. The calm and tranquil environment makes it a suitable place for religious activities. The kshetra is well connected to road, rail and air. Taxi services and bus services are easily available here. The nearest bus stop is located at Jaisalmer at a distance of 15 km. busses and taxies are easily available for the kshetra. The nearest railway station and the airport are located at >Jodhpur.
