Selection of Plot ,Vastu ShastraThe ancient science that deals with buildings and their construction. According to this oriental belief there are 5 basic elements-air, water, fire, wind and sky. This is collectively called the Panchmahabhoot. These elements are closely related to man and if they are given their proper place in Nature then one can move closer to God (Nature).

Hence while selecting the plot one can take help from astrology. A shloka from the Veda narrates that if there is a downward slope towards the east it in a given plot of land then it brings prosperity. If there is a downward slope towards the north it gives wealth. In case the slope is on the west there would be loss of wealth and knowledge and if the slope is towards south it leads to death and destruction.

The selection of the plot can also be made on the basis of the Zodiac Signs and the four directions.

Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces--------- East
Gemini, Libra, Aquarius-------- West
Aries, Leo, Sagittarius----------- North
Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn-------- South

Although it is not absolutely necessary to select plots according to this yet if this is followed then a better micro tuning can be obtained. What is important is to maintain coordination between Zodiac of the sun, numerology and Vastushastra.
