The crocodile and turtle farm provides a beautiful experience of watching the activities of these species. Sharks are also an intriguing watch in Sajnekhali. Sajnekhali jetty is another blissful place to watch the beautiful Matla River and the boats that pass through.
Exotic birds are the most fascinating members of Sajnekhali. Some of the commonly found birds in this region are Spotted Billed Pelican, Fish Eagle, Caspian Tern, Green Backed Heron, Osprey Herring Gull, Open Billed Stork, Purple Heron, White Bellied Sea Eagle, Night Heron, Grey Heron, White Ibis, Egret, Common Kingfisher, Paradise Flycatcher etc. During winters, migratory birds, like Asian Dowitchers, also grace this beautiful forest.
Sajnekhali serves as a centre for reaching various nearby tourist sites. Bhagabatpur Crocodile breeding farm and Halliday Island, in Sunderbans can be visited by taking a ferry from Sajnekhali jetty. Halliday Island is renowned for Barking Deer. Boat ride to Gosaba, a small village, Canning subdivision is also enjoyable. Netidhopani is also located nearby which is famous for housing the relics of an ancient and mysterious temple. Kanak can also be visited from Sajnekhali which is another exquisite place for watching Olive Ridley Turtles.
