Roopangarh Fort, RajasthanThe Roopangarh Fort was originally built by Maharaja Roop Singh of Kishangarh in 1648 and named after the ruler himself. Located in the town of Roopangarh in the state of Rajasthan, it was once a former fortress and palace but in the year 1999, the fort was transformed into a heritage hotel. The fort was once an important trade route to the Sambhar Salt Lake and served as the primary residence of the rulers of Kishangarh, and the capital of the state.
