Pameda Wildlife Sanctuary, Chattisgarh is spread over 260 square kilometres and consists of lush greenery characterised by Mixed Deciduous Forests and a large quantity of birds and animals.

Based very close to the sanctuary is the border of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Pameda Wildlife Sanctuary occupies an area of about 260 square kilometres and is covered with beautiful Mixed Deciduous Forests. Various species of birds and animals are existent here, besides the numerous rare and endangered species of wildlife.

Flora of Pameda Wildlife Sanctuary
Visitors to the Pameda Sanctuary will be greeted with the sight of Teak and Sal trees, which are a part of the lush Deciduous Forests thriving in this place. The dense vegetation of this wildlife reserve is a treat to the eyes of travellers.

Fauna of Pameda Wildlife Sanctuary
There are many wild beasts wandering in the depths of the Pameda Wildlife Sanctuary, including mammals and birds. Leopard and Tiger can be observed only by the luckiest tourists who approach this sanctuary. The other animals present here are Indian Bison, Chinkara, Hyena, Kotri, Spotted Deer, Wild Dog, Sambhar, Wolf, Nilgai, Gazelle, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar and others. Jungle Fowl, Pigeon, Wood Plucker, Quail, Peacock, Parrot, Stork, etc. are a few of the many wonderful birds which reside here. Innumerable migratory birds also approach the sanctuary, which can be noticed in various portions of the sanctuary.

It is said that the ideal time to pay visit to this region is during monsoons, particularly between the months of January till June. Visitors will derive a golden opportunity to come across many animals and birds during this period.
