Palaces of Thrissur are the heart of Kollam District and Kerala. These palaces are not only showing the grandeur of Indian art, but also the sculpture and architecture are totally different from the north Indian palace culture.

Kodungallur Kovilakam
Kodungallur Kovilakam refers to palace of royal family of the late medieval Kingdom of Kodungallur, modern-day Kerala. Kodungallur was a feudal principality subordinate to the rulers of the Kingdom of Cochin (Kochi).
Cirakkal Kovilakam
Cirakkal Kovilakam is a palace of two "nalukettu" structures, one larger than the other. The main residential building of Cirakkal Kovilakam and two more old buildings, a water tank (known as "padakulam"), the family temple (dedicated to Talattil Bhagavati, a Hindu goddess) and Sarpakkavu are all within the Kovilakam Complex.
Kollengode Palace
Kollengode Palace is a palace situated in Thrissur city of Kerala. Kollengode Palace is located 19 km south-east of Palakkad, is the prime attraction of Kollengode Town. The town of Palakkad derives its name from the "Kollen" blacksmith community that resides here. The palace represents the traditional architectural style of Kerala. It houses a large collection of murals from all over Kerala. This museum and palace holds a display of well-preserved artefacts called Veerakallu or Hero Stones, which basically are the ancient stone engravings and sculptures of heroes. There are different temple models, manuscripts on dry palm leaves and megaliths are also exhibited in the museum of Kollengode Palace. Most of the artefacts exhibited in the museum have been recovered from the forests of Thrissur District and Wayanad District. The Lord Shiva or Mahadeva temple is situated in Pudugramam, Pallkapandi Water Falls, Meenkara Dam, Pothundi Dam and Chinganchira are other attractions near the Kollengode Palace.
Merry Lodge Palace
Merry Lodge Palace is a palace situated in the city of Thrissur. It was the palace and summer resort of the abdicated Maharaja of Cochin Rama Varma XV. The palace was the venue of the meeting between Mahatma Gandhi and Rama Varma XV in 1925. In 1947, it was converted to Sree Kerala Varma College of Thrissur.
Puthen Kovilakam
Puthen Kovilakam is one section of the Kodungallur Kovilakam, a palace in Kodungallur, Kerala. Puthen Kovilakamh means "new palace". This Kovilakam (manor house) was known by the name "Gurukulam". It was a well-known learning centre. Many eminent scholars from this Kovilakam contributed to Malayalam and Sanskrit literature.
Shakthan Thampuran Palace
Shakthan Thampuran Palace is situated in Thrissur in Kerala. It is named as Vadakkekara Palace. Later this palace was reconstructed in Kerala-Dutch style in the year 1795 by Ramavarma Thampuran of the erstwhile Princely State of Cochin, well-known as Sakthan Thampuran (Greatest ruler of the Cochin dynasty). Now it is preserved by Archaeological Department of Kerala.
