Bangalore Palace
Bangalore Palace is a palace located in Bengaluru in Karnataka. It was built by Rev. J. Garrett, who was the first Principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, now known as Central College. The construction of Bangalore Palace was started in 1862 and completed in 1944. In 1884, it was bought by the then Maharaja of Mysore Chamarajendra Wadiyar X. Now this palace is owned by the Mysore royal family, the palace has recently undergone a renovation.
Cheluvamba Mansion
Cheluvamba Mansion is located in Mysore, Karnataka. Cheluvamba Mansion was built by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV for the third princess of Mysore -Cheluvajammanni and it is similar to other mansions built by them which are spread over a large area surrounded by gardens. This mansion is crafted like other buildings of the Wadiyar dynasty.
Daria Daulat Bagh
Daria Daulat Bagh, which is also, literally `Garden of the Wealth` is a palace situated in the city of Srirangapatna, near Mysore in southern India. It is mostly made out of teakwood.
Shivappa Nayaka Palace
Shivappa Nayaka Palace named after the popular 17th century king Shivappa Nayaka of the Keladi Nayaka dynasty is located in Shivamoga city which is formerly known as Shimoga. The district headquarters of the Shivamogga district in the Karnataka state, India. Though named after the Nayaka king, according to art historian George Michell, the palatial bungalow was actually built by the 18th century Mysore ruler Hyder Ali. Shivappa Nayaka Palace comprises a Durbar hall with massive wooden pillars and lobed arched panels. The living chambers on the sides are at the upper level and have balconies and look down into the hall. Numerous antiquities collected from nearby temples and archaeological sites, such as sculptures, inscriptions and hero stones from the Hoysala era and later periods are on display at the palace grounds. The building is a protected monument under the Karnataka state division of the Archaeological Survey of India.
Nalknad Palace
Nalknad Palace or Nalkunadu Palace, called Naalnaad Aremane in the local Kodava language, is a palace located in the Kodagu district of the Indian state of Karnataka. Nalknad Palace or Nalkunadu Palace is located near a village named Yavakapadi and was built between the years 1792 and 1794 AD. Nalknad Palace was the last refuge of the last of the Haleri kings of Kodagu, Chikka Veerarajendra before he was deposed by the British East India Company.
Tipu Sultan`s Summer Palace
Tipu Sultan`s Summer Palace, in Bengaluru is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture and was the summer residence of Tipu Sultan. Hyder Ali commenced its construction within the walls of the Bangalore Fort, and it was completed during the reign of Tipu Sultan in 1791. After, Tipu Sultan`s death in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, the British administration used the palace for its Secretariat before moving to Attara Kacheri in 1868. Now, the government of Karnataka maintains the palace, which is located at the centre of Old Bangalore near the Kalasipalyam bus stand. It is now serving as a tourist spot.
