Pataleshwar Temple
The Pataleshwar Shiva Temple is one of the famous tourist attractions of the Rayagada district in Odisha.
Paikapada is famous for Shiva Lingams at Pataleshwar Shiva Temple, which dates back to the 9th century. Paikapada is located near Therubali in the Rayagada district, in the Indian state of Odisha. The deities like Lord Jagannath, Maa Dakhineshwari Kalika, and Chamunda are the most common deities worshiped here. The car festival of Lord Jagannath is also celebrated and during Shiv Ratri a large number of pilgrims come to observe the function. It is believed that there are 99, 99,999 Shiva lingams (only 1 less to 1crore) in and around the Pataleshwar shrine.
