Built during the Mughal Era by Emperor Shah Jahan, the Nigambodh Gate is a part of the famous Gates of Delhi of the historic city of Old Delhi, also known as Shahjahanabad. There is also a ghat of the same name, which is located behind the Red Fort and the Nigambodh Gate lies adjacent to these ghats.
