National Children`s Museum

The ecstatic children`s education is the goal of the National Children`s Museum, New Delhi.

National Children`s Museum, is located on the Bal Bhawan Complex of Kotla Marg, in vicinity of ITO, New Delhi. This museum makes the child`s mind, highly inclined towards the rich cultural heritage of our country.

The resplendent repertory of toys and dolls from several countries, stone and bronze articles, ethnic accessories, arts and crafts, musical instruments, currency of different nations and so on.

National Children Museum has a segment called the Children`s Creative Work. It demonstrates, the artifacts, given shape by children, budding artists. Even the works of art imported from the Jawahar Bal Bhawan and the Bal Bhavan Kendras , are integrated with this collection.

Deft craftspersons visit the museum, to train the younger generation of children on how to cultivate diversified forms of arts and crafts. The presentations undergo alterations, to sustain the newness and appeal of excitement about the innovative achievements of children.

Arrangements for summer camps are made in the museum, together with workshops on arts, theatre, painting, music, dance etc.

This gallery uses mediums like audiovisual aids to showcase culture, arts, religions, etc of India. Objects speaking volumes for the colorful Indian culture, arts, religion and accomplishments in the sphere of Science and Technology, are on display here. They are focused through the various mediums, such as the audiovisual featuring.

Next, the Gaurav Gatha Gallery, highlights the early civilizations, glorious feats, legends, war of independence, national leaders, and the awesome myriad nature of India., projected through a sequence of panorama.

Finally the splendid Surya (Sun) Gallery, devoted to the sun, illustrates the significance, origin, religious value of this dazzling star. Expectedly enough, the indispensability of the sun in life, and intricate details of the solar system, are the highlights of this specific gallery. Again, the place of the sun in the context of religion, of different countries, for instance, Egypt, Mesopotamia, China, and Greece, are well presented here.

The National Children`s Museum, New Delhi, thus illuminates the flowering children`s mind, with the light of knowledge, not only about their own country, but about foreign nations too.
